Jonathan Robinson is an emergency physician and police officer. He trained in emergency medicine and the police academy with cross-training in tactical law enforcement. His professional interests are prehospital care, high angle search and rescue, and tactical emergency medicine. Dr. Robinson is President and Chief Executive Officer of Emergency Room Specialists, SC, in Wisconsin, and EMS Chief and Medical Director for Elm Grove, Wisconsin. He serves as County Sheriff and SWAT team physician in the state. Among his prior positions, he served as Chief of Emergency Medicine at Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee, and Chief of Emergency Medicine at the Heart Hospital of Milwaukee.
Dr. Robinson consults on emergency, disaster, and law enforcement issues for municipal, state, and national organizations. He served on the Board of Directors of the American College of Emergency Physicians Wisconsin Chapter. He served on the Board of Governors of the American Heart Association Wisconsin Affiliate, and was Chairman of its Advanced Cardiac Life Support Program. He also served as Medical Advisor for the Milwaukee Fire Department's Heavy Urban Rescue Team, Disaster Medical Director for the City of Milwaukee and Mitchell International Airport, and Emergency Medical Services Medical Director for several municipalities. His awards include the American Heart Association's Professional Practice Award, American Heart Association's Extended Service Award, and Meritorious Service Medals from Wisconsin municipal and county police departments. He was nominated for the American College of Emergency Physicians "Emergency Physician of the Year".
